Earings : it’s a hippie who has created it for me in Brazil. It’s made from vertebrates of snakes, fishribs, thorns of a pig…I like it! it looks a little like a  drum. I am not really wearing it because it’s too hippie for me. Over there is great but here less.

Sneakers: This is the most expensive shoes I ever bought (their original price was 800 eur! I got them for 600). It’s was my favourite designer at the time: Rick Owens. Now I am not too found of his new collections anymore. When I got them I was so thrilled!!! I had save money for so long!!! Now it’s already 3 years ago I got them and I am still wearing them all the time. I will wear them until they are dead!

Teddybear: My teddybear knows everything about me since I am 2. He has met all the guys I had sex with, all my exes…He is really my best friend. I can tell him everything and he doesn’t repeat anything to anyone else. I sleep like a baby thanks to him! A true friend. He unfortunately hasn’t been to Brazil yet to meet my boyfriend.

Here, he is represented on the picture but I also have a tattoo of him on my body (almost the same size as the one in real).

Pencils = drawing. If there is one think I can do in my life it’s this. I was born with a pencil in my hands. I am never bored. At the moment, I am trying out a new style: the way children are drawing (for example to draw a strange rectangle and it represents an elephant). The children are still able to imagine plenty of things made from nothing . When you grow up, you start having new references and your eyes gets influenced by these things. I would like to go back to the roots of creation of children. I can draw pretty much everything with precision but it doesn’t tell anything anymore. I am not there yet but I will.

Cactus: My first tattoo was actually a cactus. I love them. They are surviving everything and they can live with anything also. I hope one day I will become like that. Far away from materialism.

Playmobile: It’s a pirate playmobile because I, also, am a pirate. I love gold!

I love everything that has to do with gold but damn it’s so expensive. Each year, at Christmas, I ask my parents for a tacky golden necklace with my name on it but I have 9 letters so it’s way too expensive and my parents refuse each year since I am 16.

My nep tools: (Hairpiece and whimpers): each weekend I am going out and these two are crucial! Always dreamed having long hair/long whimpers but I never reach that point and the pencil for my eyebrows is also verrrry important. Sometimes I draw them in red, blue… and I decide each day if I draw the shape up or down.

Perfume: “Angel”: I receive it each year from my parents but I never bought it myself because I find it way too expensive.

Earplugs: without them, I simply can’t sleep.

Wood piece: I met my boyfriend on the most romantic spot! An island in Brazil called Jericoacoara. He lived there on the beach with nothing at all. I, of course, found it exhilarating and interesting and thus at one point we started talking to each other. As two creative people, I started making some little drawings with the correct English word under it to improve his English. To thank me he made this little sculpture. To remind me that we used to sleep, have sex and watch the stars in that hammock.

Boxring:  A boyfriend from the far past, was on tour with his ‘grindcore’ band in Eastern Europe and brought me this boxring from Czech Republic.  You can buy these things over there but here in the Netherlands they are strictly forbidden. They are considered as killing weapons. I found it quite touching in a way. He had even attached a metal chain and craved with golden letters the quote “True Love Never Dies ». Actually, ours did.

My golden Teeth : Since I am 15 (even before my attraction for Gangsterboys), I always wanted to have a golden teeth. But I couldn’t do that to my parents so I remained patient.

When I was 20, I travelled through Amazonia and I stayed with a Indian tribe for a few days. It was amazing. I could even meet the master of the village. Moreover, All women were wearing 2 silver teeth.

When I heard that the maire from the tribe was not wearing silver but golden teeth, I took it as a sign. I had waited long enough and it was the perfect place to do it. After long hours of suffering the golden prosthesis was placed but unfortunately the next day, when eating a potato, the teeth fell. When I got back to Holland, I went to a Suriname dentist to put it back. At least, Thanks to his origins, I was still close to the traditions…

Pepe was wearing a lot of colors actually, but he really gave me the impression that he ran away from a Rembrandt’s painting…just perfect.

I am not good at sending wishes (In these time of the year, I just have a very protective feeling towards the ones I care for and I tend to close myself) But (cause there is one), I just hope, in 2012 that the world will stop being so scared from the unknown (literally and figuratively). There is so much to embrace if you do leave fear away.

Headphones : These are the most important ! It’s the only way I find myself to be completely in the moment. They are always with me ! I would never go outside of my house without them. I listen to everything except pop music…I like the classics such as Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Riche Havens…

Flowers: I love flowers. I love all of them…natural ones, artificial ones they all end up in my hair.

Rabbit bone: my boyfriend and I went to the Amsterdam’s forest and we found this bone. We are like small children and love to find strange things. We always try to make a story with these findings. Everything is new for us…we are just like curious little children.

Hart: it’s maybe cliché but love is extremely important for me. We are using the materialistic love instead of true and passionate love.  Love and knowledge are the most important things, in my opinion.

Piercings: a lot of my friends are begging to stop with the piercings but I really like it. Especialy these microdermals. When you take them out, you don’t see anything anymore. It’s unnecessary but I like to see how my body changes with it. I won’t continue though.

Box of pencils: it is more as a metaphore for “the arts”. I love to draw and when I was little I couldn’t stop drawing dresses. I thought I was going to be a designer.

Pills: part of my life, always try to be far from them, although I need them.

Book: If you are an Indian woman and can’t dance…I would love to learn dancing so I could teach children. Dancing show (out) feelings.

Note book: I have it for years and I will try to keep it for as long as possible. It’s very strange but each time I am finishing a notebook I am throwing it away. In a few weeks I am going  to write a lot in it because I am going for the first time to India since I got adopted. A few years ago, as I didn’t get along with my adopted parents, my father suggested me to go visit the country with them but I refused because I thought they would leave me there…now is the time to return to see what a wonderful country I am coming from andnwrite about it. Also I thank everyone that I crossed in my life till nowadays.

Ring: I received this ring from my boyfriend. I´s simple, romantic and full of love. This is maybe the only material object that he has given me in token of his love for me (it´s very normal to give gifts to your girl/boy friends…)

Box with eyes: the wife of my boyfriend’s father makes these kind of boxes and she gave me this one. … She is really non- stop woman and always inspiring you for develop yourself. I think this box it´s an original idea. Watch out!! someone is looking at you!!

Glassbottle: I love bottles..;all sort of bottles: for cooking, weed…

Little lollipop: my boyfriend and I love sweets. Each time I am going to Spain, I am bringing so much back from there. The candies are extremely different from here and much more tasty!

Pirate skulls: We love all kind of skulls. My room is full of it. Not especially tragic and scary ones but more the childish representations. My boyfriend introduce me to the happy-death animation, which makes you think about the death not so in the negative way.

It was freezing, everyone was walking very quickly from point A to point B…but Roos was floating with her smile and pink cheeks. It was so cold that I wasn’t sure I could take my hands out of my gloves to take the picture but when she passed and that I saw her childish bag… she was so friendly that I was even tempted to invite her to drink a tea and start an endless conversation.

DVD DodgeBall: What makes this film so personal is that i’m the only person I know
who actually likes this movie. In fact I love it so much that it’s in my top5 all-time favorites. (There, I said it!)

Tao Te Ching: “The book that doesn’t let itself be described.” so i won’t even try. It taught me about harmony.

Baseball Glove: I used to be a baseball player when i was a kid. I put a lot of effort
in it until i got injured when i was 17. I never played ever since. This is a very very very sad story.

Karate-belt: My new love: Karate! Like the tao te chin it’s all about peace&harmony

DVD Planet Earth:  I love watching wildlife documentaries on a lazy sunday. To me Planet
Earth stands out from the rest because of the way they portray human-like emotions on animals…  Love, pride, intrigues, hate,
shame… it’s all there. David Attenborough at his best.

Styling gel: In my lifetime i’v tried lots and lots of different hairproducts, but I always end up using this one. It’s sticky, yellow and it smells like
teenage disco… but it’s the only product that’s strong enough to control my hair all day.

Coffee: Coffee is cool

Letters: H100: I drive a ’96 Hyundai H100. I addopted him one when he was 12, but he
feels like one of my own. We’ve been through a lot together.

Book: “the boy who looks like Lincoln”: It’s about a boy that looks just like Abraham Lincoln. Schoolmates
make fun of him all the time.  They let him play Lincoln in every schoolplay… even when Lincoln wasn’t in that play. It made him very
sad. In the end his parents decide to take him to a summercamp for “kids who look like something” and things turn out quiet right. I
laughed my butt off when I read this book. A must read for people who have often been confused with someone or something else!
